Contest Holder Ratings show the participation level of contest holders in their contests. The ratings are shown on a 5 star scale and are automatically calculated by the system. This allows contestants to see how active the contest holder is in providing feedback for the contest. Contests with high contest holder ratings attract significantly high level of participation from contests. Here are few things you can do as a contest holder to improve your contest holder rating:

  1. Rate entries as they come in, this provides a quick input to contestants about the quality of their submission and whether they are going in right direction.
  2. Provide feedback to contestants by adding comments on your contest page. Comments added in the Messages tab are visible to all contestants. If you want to share feedback with a specific contestant, you can add a comment next to the specific entry. Here is a good example of a comment, that provides a more specific direction to contestants. "Enjoying the first wave of submissions, particularly those with a a nice twist on spelling of words, references to NZ and Eco attributes"

If you rate most of the entries and provide ongoing comments, your contest holder rating will immediately rise up to 5 stars, resulting in even greater participation from contestants.
